Anushka as Arundathi

Remember Anushka? The damsel from Mumbai tried her luck in Tamil in Rendu opposite Madhavan. She played a glam doll in the movie and won admiration.

Mumbai girl Anushka entered Kollywood with the film Rendu opposite Madhavan. Hers was a glamourous role and was appreciated. But she was not happy playing iust eye candy.

Meanwhile the actress became too busy in Telugu and had enough offers coming her way there.

A happy Anushka says, “I am happy that I am getting good offers in Telugu. Hopefully I get few in Tamil too. Heroines are portrayed as glam dolls in Telugu and rarely one comes across a performance oriented role.

Anushka is playing a conservative girl in a movie titled Arundathi in which she has enough scope to perform.

Her next film Arundathi is a heroine-oriented subject and has enough scope for her to perform. She is hopeful that her performance will be appreciated and even fetch her an award.

She says, “Arundathi has a different storyline and I am hopeful that my performance would fetch me an award in the movie
